Science Day

Science Day celebrations in 2025 will likely be marked by events that highlight the importance of science and innovation, as well as efforts to inspire the younger generation to pursue careers in scientific fields. Science Day is celebrated in various countries, but in India, it is particularly significant as National Science Day is celebrated on February 28th each year to honor the discovery of the Raman Effect by physicist C. V. Raman in 1928.

Our department of science conducted the science day celebration on the theme for National Science Day 2025 is "Empowering Indian Youth for Global Leadership in Science & Innovation for Viksit Bharat". The theme will focus on encouraging young minds, recognizing groundbreaking contributions, and celebrating India's scientific achievements.

Our first-year student teachers participated the speech of renowned scientists and educators might give talks on significant scientific breakthroughs, ongoing research, and the importance of science in daily life, also include talks on the latest technological trends, like artificial intelligence or space exploration. II YEAR student teachers conducted the fun games with scientific ideas to explore by the student teachers. Science Day 2025 celebrations, the focus could be on raising awareness about current scientific challenges or exploring cutting-edge technologies like AI, space research, and climate action.

Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Education Celebrates National Science Day on February 28th, 2024, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Education held a vibrant celebration of National Science Day. The event aimed to highlight the significance of science in everyday life and inspire students with its wonders. Dr. X. Vengo Regis, Professor of Education, initiated the event with a talk on the history and purpose of National Science Day. He emphasized the importance of scientific inquiry and how it shapes our understanding of the world. Dr. Regis's talk included engaging examples and stories that linked everyday events to scientific principles. Mr. Anandhan, Assistant Professor of History Education, followed with a talk focused on the power of simple logic and its connection to scientific reasoning. He shared captivating stories illustrating how a scientific mindset can be applied to various situations. Mr. M. Senthil, Assistant Professor of Physical Education, presented a fascinating exploration of modern scientific innovations. He highlighted the significant role science plays in advancing our daily lives. Selvan Siva, a first-year teacher-trainee, delivered an informative talk that resonated with the audience and contributed meaningfully to the celebration. The event was a great success, with 110 students benefiting from the insightful talks and the enthusiastic atmosphere. The active participation of attendees demonstrated the power of science to engage and inspire young minds.

The Science day has been celebrated on 28.02.2019 in our College. Honorable chief guest Mr.T. Kaliyamoorthi arrived from PT assistant G.H.S.S Chettikulam. He delivered a valuable speech about “Today Science”. He told widely spread a message about the significance of scientific applications in the daily life of the people, to display all the activities efforts and achievements in the field of science for welfare of human being, to discuss all the issues and implement new technologies for the development of the science and also emphasized on the shortcut method and correlated studies to student-teachers to learn science.

The Science day has been celebrated on 05.3.2018 in our College. Honorable chief guest Mr.A.Velusamy arrived from DIET in keelapalur. He delivered a valuable speech about three concepts like the origin of science day- in the remembrance of Sir C.V.Raman. He told widely spread a message about the significance of scientific applications in the daily life of the people, to display all the activities efforts and achievements in the field of science for welfare of human being, to discuss all the issues and implement new technologies for the development of the science and also emphasized on the shortcut method and correlated studies to student-teachers to learn science.

The Science day has been celebrated on 28.2.2016 in our College of education. Honorable chief gust Mr.V.Varatharajan arrived from Diet in Perambalur. He delivered a valuable speech about three concepts like the origin of science day- in the remembrance of Sir C.V.Raman. The importance of masimagam festival- Which was celebrated once in 12 years due to the revolution of plants and the celebration of pie day(22/7) - which is on 14th march. He also emphasized on the shortcut method and correlated studies to students-teachers to learn science.
