ENNUM EZHUTHUM

Ennum Ezhuthum impact Assessment Programme - 7th Sep to 15th Sep, 2023

The Ennum Ezhuthum Scheme is a flagship program of the Tamil Nadu government that was launched in 2022-23 to address the learning gap caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The scheme aims to ensure that all students in Tamil Nadu by the age of 8 can read with comprehension and possess basic arithmetic skills by 2025. The scheme is being implemented in all government schools in Tamil Nadu, and it covers students in classes 1to5. The scheme uses a variety of methods to improve student learning, including:

1. Level-based instruction: Students are grouped into different levels based on their current learning level, and they are given instruction at their own pace.

2. Integrated learning: Students teach different subjects (Tamil, English, Maths, and EVS) in an integrated way, so that they can see the connections between the different subjects.

3. Use of technology: The scheme uses a variety of digital resources, such as tablets and educational apps, to support student learning.

By the direction of Higher Education and appointed 43 student-teachers as Third Party Evaluators for the Ennum Ezhuththum impact Assessment Programme – 2023, 43 student-teachers have visited 54 schools of 3 educational blocks of Perambalur districts from 7th Sep to 15th Sep, 2023 with continues support and encouragement from DIET, Padalur
