Planning ahead helps to reach the goal. This is the first step in any process and education is no exception. In education, the lesson plan serves as a preparation tool that makes the teaching-learning process easy and effective. It tells clearly the objectives to be achieved, the teaching methods, instructional aids and evaluation techniques in the instructional hours. It helps the teachers create a smooth instructional flow and scaffold instruction for learners. So a three day special programme on lesson plan writing was given to the first year student teachers by their respective optional teachers from 29 th January 2020.
