ANTI-DRUG AWARNESS BY SELFIE TO SAY NO TO DRUGS – 07.02.2025

Our anti-drug committee organized the awareness of drug uses and say no to drug by creating awareness to post the picture of selfie of our first year and second year student teachers. Drug addiction is a persistent condition when an individual is unable to stop the consumption of substances like opium, cannabis, codeine and heroin. The aims to spread awareness over the harmful effects of drug addiction and abuse. The day is useful in educating people about drug addiction disorders. The available medical treatments and the importance of early intervention and support for drug addiction.

There are multiple teen drug addiction cases noticed, as addiction does not differentiate based on age. Therefore, it turns out to be very important to educate youngsters about prevention of drug abuse and addiction. It serves as a general reminder about the impact of drug abuse and addiction on individuals and the community. Addressing this complex problem requires the right approach by educating, providing access to treatment, and organizing support groups. By coming together, we can support the people who are affected by it. Encourage a culture of understanding and compassion to create a healthier and more informed society.

SLOGAN COMPETITION – 22.01.2025

• As a part of anti-drug club conducted a slogan competition on It can be an engaging and impactful way to raise awareness about the dangers of drug use. It encourages creativity while spreading a powerful message. Here are some potential anti-drug slogans for students to draw inspiration from for a competition.

• Keep it Short & Catchy: Slogans should be memorable, with a rhythm or rhyme to make them stick.

• Relatable: Encourage students to make slogans that relate to their experiences, so it speaks directly to their peers.

• Incorporate Positive Messages: Rather than just focusing on the negatives of drugs, promote a positive, empowering approach—encourage healthy choices and self-empowerment.

• Creativity: Add creativity with visuals, artwork, or other elements that can make the slogans stand out.

This competition can be an excellent way to engage students, spark conversations, and foster a school-wide commitment to staying drug-free.

ANTI DRUG AWARENESS IN SCHOOL STUDENTS BY OUR STUDENT TEACHERS – 04.12.2024

Anti-drug awareness is crucial in schools to educate students about the risks associated with substance abuse and to equip them with the knowledge and skills to make informed, healthy decisions. Here are some key components of an effective anti-drug awareness program for school students: Health Consequences: Teach students about the short- and long-term effects of drugs on physical and mental health, including addiction, impaired brain function, and social consequences. Different Types of Drugs: Explain the various types of drugs (e.g., alcohol, marijuana, prescription drugs, opioids) and their specific risks.

Encourage students to think critically about peer pressure, societal influences, and advertising. Help them recognize how these factors can influence their decisions regarding drug use. Promote strategies for saying “no” to peer pressure and how to stand firm in their decisions.

Our II-year student teachers create awareness by using the poster related to anti-drug by the following ways, shows the posted and explain the causes of using drugs and alcohol, ways to prevent the habitation of using drugs, make them to share the view to their parents and neighboring. Regularly assess the effectiveness of anti-drug programs by surveying students or tracking behavioral changes. Continue reinforcing the message throughout the year with various activities, posters, and awareness campaigns to keep the topic front and center.

By fostering a proactive and engaging environment, anti-drug awareness programs can help students make informed decisions and steer them away from the dangers of drug use.

Anti-drug Awareness – 28.10.2024

An Anti-drug awareness program was conducted in our college under NSS UNIT. II-year NSS student teachers participated and took a pledge on 28th October 2024 - this commitment reveled around the theme of “The evidence is clear: invest in prevention: underscores the importance of prevention in driving both organizational and national progress”. I year student teachers creating awareness on the ill-effects of drug and alcohol consumption, in a comprehensive manner in and around the nearer public. Every day India sees 10 suicides related to drug abuse, the central government demonstrated that the vast majority of youth are receiving drug and alcohol prevention messages from sources such as TV, Radio, Posters and Pamphlets, Movie ads and campaigns as this. Furthermore, the report on its special analysis showed that those who have been exposed to such messages are significantly less likely to abuse drugs. The Government of Tamil Nadu is taking every visible effort to prevent teen drug use via the National Youth Anti-drug Media Campaign, especially for those making the difficult transition from schools to colleges via their National-level Anti-drug Policies. Principal in this event stated that youth are the largest force of our nation and it must be directed in a positive way for their happy, healthy and holy living. Principal expressed that youth only can save themselves by conducting large number of events campaigning the anti-drug messages to make a significant impact in the society. Government of Tamil Nadu is taking all necessary measures about bringing awareness in to the public via Tv, Radio, Posters, Pamphlets and movies advertises on anti-alcohol and drug prevention messages in the past 2 years rigorously. In this event, Principal, NSS Programme Officers, Faculty members along with student teachers were present.
