We commemorated National Youth Day on January 12, 2024, with a vibrant program aimed at engaging our student-teachers in meaningful reflection and action. Dr. X. Vengo Regis delivered a thought-provoking address that set the stage for the day's competitions, emphasizing the core theme of inspiring young minds to foster social engagement, forge intergenerational connections, and acknowledge the legacy of previous generations. To bring this theme to life, we organized three engaging competitions as follows
Poster Making: Students envisioned creative ways to bridge the gap between college youth and senior citizens through social engagement initiatives.
Essay Writing: This competition challenged participants to explore how college students' active involvement can build strong intergenerational family bonds across India.
Speech Competition: Students delivered impassioned addresses on the importance of appreciating our present with gratitude and recognizing the role parents, past generations played in shaping our lives.
The enthusiasm from our student-teachers was truly inspiring. A total of 35 student-teachers actively participated in the competitions, supported by the encouraging presence of our teaching faculty. The day served as a platform for thoughtful dialogue, creative expression, and a renewed commitment to making a positive impact on our communities.
